Posture and Powerfully Presenting
Posture is the Presenters body language tactics designed to build confidence with command and conviction. The alignment of your body posture along with the clarity, tone, pitch and rhythm of your voice will ensure your body language shouts confidence, command and conviction.
As we go through life, our bodies move through different postures and positions, these postures reflect and influence our internal experience, and have impact on the experience of anyone in our company. Your total physiological condition at a given time is called your physical 'state', and it shapes your conscious and unconscious mental and outward attitude.
In terms of presenting there are five key postures that are effectively utilised by Presenters (watch Prime Ministers question time) who have developed an acceptance of how to stand and position themselves with the utmost level of command and conviction, power, concentration, sensitivity and passion. As with voice inflection, the Masterful Presenter develops the skill in all five areas of posture enabling development of the art of persuasive posture control.
The intention of these postures is to align your body language with the intention of your words. When you have mastered these abilities you will be asked to present at every opportunity, your sales will rocket and as a CEO your reputation will preceed you.
