Increasing your Presence and Power...
Testing the Change
-
Now that you have completed the 3 steps in the process and experienced the emotional field dissipate, it is time to test that the change is consolidated.
-
Recall the original situation and notice what your emotions are as you try to tap into it.
-
Try and recall the original emotion and notice what you are aware of.
-
At this juncture most people experience that is it difficult, if not impossible to regain the original emotion as it was before the process began.
-
However, occasionally there is some residual 'charge' left to the field.
-
Should this be the case, run the 'residual' emotion through the process again until the residue has dissipated.
-
You will find that each time you run the residual emotion through the process, it will become more and more positive.
Freedom at Last
I have observed that on occasions certain individuals resist believing that their issue has truly disappeared, even after testing. There are two reasons for this.
-
The first and most common is that people think it is just too easy. They find it hard to believe that something that had such power over them, something they have lived with for so long could be changed so easily. We live in a society that asserts change has to be difficult or hard to be real or sustained. Believing that without blood, sweat and tears, it cannot be real. Well, that is an interesting belief and here is another way to look at it.
Let us revisit the large black dog story. If a big brute of a dog came hurtling out of the forest and sunk his teeth into your leg, how long do you think it would take to become afraid of a large black dog - or of dark forests for that matter?
How much time would it take, three seconds, one second, one hundredth of a second, maybe instantaneously. It would not take long, would it? So, if it only takes an instant or less to learn to become afraid of large black dogs, then why, can it not be an instant to unlearn it? It is the same underlying mechanism - it is just that no one has shown you how unlearn the behaviour, until now.
-
The other reason people may resist the change is that they have lived with it for so long and have tried numerous approaches to move on from the situation, but it has come back to haunt them. They need to live with the change for a while to appreciate that it is real and sustainable.
The HOB process provides a means of sustainable freedom through personal control!
