Vital Visuals

Stimulate the Response you Desire and Perform in the Knowledge you have Prepared...

By asking yourself two simple questions you will predetermine how you will feel as you enter the room or walk onto the stage. The ability to prejudge and preset emotions is used by all top performers, singers, actors, athletes and politicians... The questions work in a similar manner to anchoring and circles of excellence (more detailed direction on these two winning techniques within the Master Class section Mind Control).

By determining your state and emotions your neurology is fired up and your entire metabolic system moves into action in order for you to access the state. When you go there in your mind, the body follows... and when you build this practice into your preparation you put yourself in the top 1% of Professional Presenters.

To develop the ability to sequence state, ask yourself the following questions as you prepare for your next presentation:

What state do I want the audience to be in at the beginning?

What state do I want to be in at the beginning?

A: audience

B: myself

What state do I want the audience to be in half way through?

What state do I want to be in half way through?

A: audience

B: myself

Make the feeling as vivid as possible, see Mind Control for more direction on how to achieve this.

Example of eliciting states...

Beginning states:

Audience: excited, expectant, and reassured

Myself: energised and confident

To elicit these states I will:-

Audience: frame the presentation, build rapport across the group with 5 second eyecontact and body posture; learn names; invite participation; offer possibility of benefits direct to them.

Myself: prepare contingency material; pre prepare first visual with opening picture; take care of practicalities; be at ease.

Ask yourself:

What will I do to continue eliciting the states I want from the audience?

What will I do to continue eliciting the states I want in me?
