Business Background and a life in the real world…

Claire started her career as a Checkout Operator at her local Coop and soon became interested in the training of staff. At the age of 19, she was promoted to a regional training management role with 54 direct reports. Claire went on to a consultation role with Carphone Warehouse TalkTalk to lead training projects and improve performance. One of her projects was estimated to have saved the business £8 million.

Claire also led full training cycles at Legal and General to implement new mortgage and administration platforms. During her time at Safestyle UK, Claire delivered various programmes, such as the Leadership Excellence Accreditation Programme for all commercial leadership roles. She also introduced a new onboarding process, led a campaign to drive inclusion called ‘Women in Commercial’; and restructured the training team to enable business growth with an on-track target of increasing company profit by £9 million.
