Business Background and a life in the real world…

Fiona’s early career was in manufacturing, distribution, and engineering companies such as United Biscuits, ADT Security Systems and Staveley Industries before moving into consultancy with a wide range of private and public sector companies including EMI, DVLA, UBS and Perot Systems. Driven by her involvement in assessment and development and a deep desire to create ‘accelerated change’ she chose to retrain as an Occupational Psychologist. Specifically, to enable a more comprehensive, structured, and objective approach to help people become the best they could be, fast, using how they saw themselves as the main starting point.

Fiona continues to work across a wide selection of sectors, adding the experience of working with law firms, recruitment, and finance. She still maintains her early year’s passion for working with graduates and emerging leaders, supporting leaders of tomorrow with a real-world experience of working with leaders of today. Fiona calls this “reverse coaching”, and often uses experience from a graduate session to help a CEO see new perspectives.
